Approaches to Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the most widely used evidenced based intervention, to improve a wide range of client mental health issues.

CBT works with recognising how on a day to day basis, situations can trigger unhelpful thoughts leading to low moods, irrational behaviours and a decline in physical well being.


Hypnotherapy treats your subconscious mind, changing your negative beliefs or habits.

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Sometimes the term "counselling" is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right. Counselling allows people to discuss their problems and any difficult feelings they encounter in a safe, confidential environment.

Couple's Counselling

 The principles of CBT or Counselling will be applied during couples counselling, to achieve the goal set out by the couple.

These include; working on behavioural changes, compromises, honesty and goal setting to improve the relationship.
